The causes

Covid relief: India is an economy with a very high percentage of daily wage earners and small business owners. These have been very badly hit due to the lockdowns and the people are dying starvation as a result. Immediate call to action, please help us feed the needy! Rs 1300 or ~GBP14 will help provide two meals a day for a family of five for two weeks!

Education: India also has very large number of people living below the poverty line which often leads other social issues such as child marriage, domestic abuse and crime. Our goal is to empower at least 50 children to get an education, come out of poverty and earn an honest livelihood! Rs 3000 or ~GBP33 can help one child attend this training programme for one year.

If you share our beliefs and have been positively impacted by our actions, please help empower these children!

Who are we?

We are a group of students from London Business School who are trying to use our skills and time to raise money. We saw that we are running fitness sessions and mentorship for friends and our networks. We want to request the folks who have enjoyed the sessions and found them useful to donate a small amount towards this cause. If you want to join us and put your skills to use - please give me a shout.

Why Magic Bus?

Magic Bus works with 400,000 disadvantaged youth across India to help equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to get out of poverty and earn a livelihood. The skills ranging from education, health, professional skills, teamwork are taught through sporting activities, games and classroom learning. Sessions are designed to represent real-life situations and challenges so children are able to relate these back to their daily lives.

The Magic Bus programme’s mix of sport, activities and education to help empower youth to get out of poverty was very appealing to us as we also really believe in its power to help children learn and get excited.
