This project involves acquiring sufficient land and creating the building and infrastructure for a new children's home for 150 homeless children in Thrissur District, Kerala, India. It is an expansion of the existing ATMA Gurukulam Girls' Home project to support the care, boarding and education of homeless girls.

Through this particular campaign, I am trying to raise the funds required to buy 10 cents (400 sq metres) of land for the children's home.

Institutionalised care of destitute children in India is often limited to providing them food, shelter and clothing. To get out of the poverty cycle, these children also need access to quality education, opportunities for sustenance, and individual mentoring support.

The ATMA Gurukulam Children's Home will provide holistic education, leadership training and value clarification to children.

It will be a part of the ATMA Harmony Village, which will have Elders Homes, Women's Homes, Youth Homes, etc. The children will get the love and care of these 'grandparents' and will be mentored by trained volunteers and professionals. This will improve their emotional security and self esteem, helping them succeed in life.
