Help Paul Joshua raise funds for Kotak Wheelchair Marathon 2018. Enable. Empower. Enrich Lives.
Being a physiotherapist and a Designer I know exactly the problems a badly designed, ill-fitting, low quality wheelchair will create for someone who is dependant on it. Sub-optimal wheelchairs which are widely used in our country, due to lack of awareness, undo all the hard work that is put into rehabilitating someone who is dependent on that wheelchair.
A good quality wheelchair on the other hand improves posture, increases efficiency in mobility, can endure wear and tear during transportation and most importantly boost the self-esteem and confidence of the person using it.
Bring about this life change among people who are dependent on wheelchairs by helping me raise funds to empower one more wheelchair users at Kotak Wheelchair Marathon 2018.
Support my campaign generously. Enrich Lives.
About the Marathon:
More than 90 percent of the wheelchair users in India, estimated at 1.3 million, use ill-fitting wheelchairs that severely compromise quality of life and damage health. Every wheelchair user deserves a customized wheelchair in the same way we buy and use shirts, trousers and shoes that fit us well.
Kotak Wheelchair Marathon 2018 aspires to create awareness about the benefits of using quality wheelchairs, by raising resources to execute pilot projects for distributing quality wheelchairs in five places in India.
The first two editions of this event, which is India’s only marathon organized by persons with disability for all runners, will empower 80 lives across India via good wheelchairs and rehabilitation support for persons paralyzed neck down.
You can sponsor one or more runners to to make quality wheelchairs possible..
If you wish to sponsor a quality wheelchair for one person with spinal cord injury, you can sponsor 30 runners (Rs 22,500). Your contribution will qualify for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
