It is so disappointing and shocking to see generations pass by and that no actions are taken about the rising cases of sexual abuse.

It's disheartening that even in the 21st-century parents ask their daughters to dress in a certain way, we are not allowed to go outside our home late at night, how relatives or strangers judge you according to how short one's dress is or the number of guys she has gone out with (while I understand parents concern and fear for their daughters security).

If a girl wears short clothes she is called a SLUT and if she wears long clothes she is a GRANDMA. Short clothes is not reason why girls and women get sexually assaulted it is the narrow mindset one has. Rape chote kapdon ke waje se nahi, chote socch ke waje se hota hai.

Why is it that a girl cannot leave her house without a pepper spray or pocket knife anymore?

Why are there so many conditions?

I myself have been judged by not only stranger but my friend’s parents and other relatives. Just because someone wears short clothes doesn’t mean that they are into bad habits.

One in three women throughout the world will experience physical or sexual violence by a partner or non-partner that's over 800 million worldwide. The violence has a wide range of short and long term consequences. The victim can feel trapped, afraid.

Violence is unacceptable, women should have courage to speak out.

They fear people would judge them and to them all that matters is their dignity. We need to bring more awareness by starting public campaigns and sex education in schools from a younger age, parents should talk briefly about this to their children.

We need to see JUSTICE HAPPEN AND NOW!

When we say all Indians are my brothers and sisters we should really mean it. The only way to stop the spread of this social evil is to prevent it. Let's come together and help fight this crime.

Vision: "Access to Justice for All Women"

Mission: To help women across class and community access justice by creating a culture of rights

While these are things that make you extremely angry, there are these women in lower economic strata who have not only lost their freedom of what they choose to do but also get assaulted for the slightest deviation from their family expects of them.

We are strong enough to stand for what we believe in but let’s stand by these women to show our support for them.
