THE SCIENCE CENTRE WILL BE CALLED - FRANCIS ARNOLD SCIENCE CENTRE.

Frances Arnold is a long time friend of Vatsalya and she won the NOBEL Prize in Chemistry in 2018. One of her sons had volunteered at Vatsalya Earlier.

We are creating separate unique single floor building of 1600 square feet area – which will be divided into 3 sections – Physics Section / Biology Section / Chemistry section. This will be a beautiful integration of a platform for experimentation as well as demonstration – across many levels – The physics Section will include but not limited to – Space and cosmology , classical mechanics, Optics, electrodynamics; the chemistry section will include organic and inorganic, bio and geochemistry, materials science; and the biology section will include Microbiology, Anatomy of organisms, zoology as well as botany – evolutionary biology …. To name some main things. This will be an attractive building with a Solar powered Globe sitting on top of the front Cantilever roof, Amazing wallpapers of The cosmos/The periodic Table/ Evolutionary Charts etc, in their respective section--- It will be a space wherein everyone feels a part of a bigger world not bound by language or ethnicity where laws of nature are felt in their true sense.

You are free to contact Mr. Kartikey Gupta (Chief Technical Officer and Passion Director, Vatsalya) whose brainchild is this target project, at kartikey@vatsalya.org or +91-9928146197 for any questions or clarifications if you are interested in contributing. Kartikey himself is a mechanical engineer who believes that the fight against climate change, anthropologically caused extreme events, and poverty can be won by the right grounded initiatives and the right awareness, especially in the next generation. He is responsible for all of Vatsalya's environmental initiatives and frequently collaborates with scientists from around the world.

At Vatsalya, we began work in 2001 with interventions focused on children. We gradually expanded our activities to other areas to address the problems of a community as a whole. Vatsalya currently runs programs related to

- Healthcare & HIV/AIDS,

- Vocational training for youth and women

- Education for children

-Environmental Initiatives

-Health and Nutrition

With limited resources and overflowing enthusiasm, we were able to accomplish a lot in very little time.

Vatsalya has undertaken projects spread over the entire state of Rajasthan, and now working in the field of food fortification and Anemia Mukt Bharat in 4 states.

We have a unique Children’s Village where, at any given time since the past 18 years, about 60 orphaned, abandoned and destitute children have lived under the loving care of Vatsalya’s staff, which is also now carbon-neutral under Vatsalya's Environmental Conservation Training Initiative. Vatsalya also has outreach nutrition and health programs which attend to the needs of roughly over 800 deprived children every month. We also have significant interventions in the fields of health, HIV-AIDS and women’s empowerment. Please visit www.vatsalya.org to know more!

The campus is a community school offering a very special 7 to 7 program for the less privileged ~120 children in the local community wherein we take care of their all daily needs - 3 nutritious meals, sports, a range of extra curricular and skill building activities, and of course academics with an exposure to a diverse international community. Vatsalya was also awarded the 5th Rajasthan Energy Conservation Award by the Department of Energy, Govt. Rajasthan in 2018, for the efforts in energy conservation.
