Manam Malarattum Trust is dedicated to cultural development and community services in and around Yelagiri and Javvadhu hilly regions of Tamil Nadu. The trust manages "Dayananda Vidyalaya", a higher secondary school in the area. We have, so far, helped out as many as 12000 students with their educational needs. We are conducting “Sandhya Gurukulam” classes for government school students in villages which have made a significant difference to these communities.

We have adopted 100 students from very poor economic backgrounds(particularly village and tribal students).

We at Manam Malarattum foundation believe that education is one's freedom from poverty and ignorance!! Our foundations goal is to help transform the lives of rural, backward, and tribal Children from around Kurusilapattu, Yelagiri and Javvadhu hills region near Thirupathur (Tamilnadu) with high quality education from primary to high school instilling values of Sanadhana Dharma along the way.

The school has Singapore curriculum-based teaching for classes up to eight, and later shifts to TN State Matriculation Board. Special books sourced from a publisher in Mumbai are used to train the children. The school now has 900 students and 27 full time teachers.

Due to the current corona issue, the school has run into financial difficulties and needs help. Sensing the difficulties, the school's management trustee is being approached by non-dharmic schools and individuals with vested interests to sell the school to them.

The school needs a sponsorship of Rs 10,000 per student per year. This would help the school tide over the current financial crisis due to COVID. Once schools reopen, parents would start remitting fees and that would help stabilize the situation while helping to save the school preserve its values

About the Managing Trustee:

The managing trustee Mr. Saravanan(42) has been a social service aspirant since his young age. After coming across an article written by Swami Dayananda Saraswati in a magazine in 1996, he ventured out to meet Swamiji in person. Under the guidance and support of Swami Dayananda, Saravanan established the school "Dayananda Vidyalaya" in 2012-2013 academic year with a modest 170 students.

Saravanan, a bachelor committed to HH Swamiji’s teachings, started the Dayananda Vidyalaya at Kurusilampattu, selling off his land holdings and pledging his uncle’s properties. A couple of investors also had advanced Rs 50 lakhs towards this effort.

You can watch Mr.Saravanan's appeal about the current needs of the school in the video below:
