India has been hit especially hard by COVID-19, and many low-income families are being affected by hunger and the loss of income from working family members as a result.

Eide Bailly has 25 staff members in Mumbai, and we want to rise to the challenge when one of our communities is suffering. That is why we are stepping up and joining GiveIndia's mission to support the underprivileged and affected through food supplies for the hungry and financial support for low-income families.

All funds collected will be transferred to GiveIndia's efforts to help the people in need via the NGOs registered with them all across India. Here are more details of GiveIndia's efforts:

1) At the onset of the pandemic last year, GiveIndia had quickly responded to the plight of millions fighting hunger. This year too, your contribution can save the hungry from starvation. ₹1,750 ($25) will provide 2 meals a day for a week to one family. And ₹500 (<$10) can help a poor family with one week’s groceries. Meals will be served to hungry families in need across the country.

Each meal will be a nutritional platter comprising healthy staples like rice, lentils, vegetables, flatbread and more. Rations kits will contain lentils, rice, salt, oil, flour, masala, tea, sugar etc. Donate now to help hungry families survive the pandemic.

2) Supporting low-income families bereaved by COVID overcome their loss. Each death to COVID is a tragedy that could have been avoided. For many heartbroken families, these deaths represent important, able, working members whose departure will also leave them financially bereft—especially for those already struggling to make ends meet.

As they adjust to their new reality—to try and ease the pain for the first few weeks—GiveIndia will be initiating direct bank transfers to families of the deceased through their trusted NGO partners. Each bereaved family will receive a one-time humanitarian cash support of ₹30,000 ($400) to help with living expenses. Join this mission to support grieving families at risk of falling further into poverty.
