The current wave of covid-19 has reached a crisis point.

Our Shalinis (Udayan Shalini Fellows), many of whose parents are shopkeepers, daily wage earners, auto/taxi drivers, helpers or street vendors; the most affected by the second wave of Covid pandemic, are facing numerous challenges in the lockdown once again.

25% of our 4500 Shalini parents, spread across 21 chapters, have already lost their livelihood. Not to forget the looming medical emergency we all are facing.

During the last wave, we were able to provide relief to over 3800 beneficiary families, in the form of ration and additional cash transfers apart from

the regular fellowship amount. However, unlike last year, the second wave has proved to be more devastating, as many Shalinis/their family members have been infected, resulting in medical and economic crisis. They urgently need our help.

All it takes to provide the basic essentials to a family for a month is Rs 3000.

Together we can assure our girls that we are there to look after them, till the world gets back to normal .
